Dr. Melissa Schochenmaier

Dr. Schochenmaier attended Southwest State University in Minnesota where she obtained a bachelors degree in biology before attending Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated from Iowa State in 2004 and became employed with the Veterinary Emergency Hospital in August 2005.  Dr. Schochenmaier has a special interest in ferret medicine and enjoys the challenges that it brings.

Dr. Schochenmaier has many interests including camping, cooking, reading, gardening, fishing, running outdoors, listening to music and frisbee golf.  She has two spunky ferrets, Madison and Logan.
 

Dr. Teri Todd

Dr. Todd graduated from Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.   She started working at the Veterinary Emergency Hospital in March 2007.   Dr. Todd enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine, but has a special interest in veterinary chiropractic care.  She has completed advanced training in chiropractic medicine and uses her specialty to help dogs and cats with various problems.

In her spare time, Dr. Todd and her husband enjoy snowmobiling, horseback riding, traveling and driving their team of draft horses.  They own an Australian Shepherd named Shotgun, and a cat named Fuzz. 

Dr. Heidi Hanson

Dr. Hanson graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.  She worked briefly in a large referral center in Minnesota before coming to work for the Veterinary Emergency Hospital in November 2000.  Dr. Hanson has a special interest in small animal internal medicine and canine/feline blood banking.

In her spare time, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, playing outdoor sports, drawing and writing.  Dr. Hanson has four dogs: a labradoodle Gracie, a doberman Griz, and two miniature dachshunds, Callie and Mack.
